AWS Infrastructure Services is the backbone of Amazon Web Services, responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS's global infrastructure. We are the driving force that keeps the cloud running, supporting all AWS data centers and managing the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure uninterrupted access to innovation for our customers worldwide.
Our team tackles the most complex challenges in cloud infrastructure, juggling thousands of variables across the supply chain. We're seeking exceptional talent to join us in this mission-critical endeavor.

The Role
We are seeking a highly analytical, driven, and experienced Materials Manager to join our diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. In this role, you will lead inventory management strategies that optimize customer experience, inventory levels, and operational efficiency.

As a Materials Manager, you will be at the forefront of maintaining efficient manufacturing capacity and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers. You'll collaborate with teams across AWS to uphold the highest standards of safety and security while working towards our goal of providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and maintain scalable, reliable analytical tools, dashboards, and metrics to drive key decisions and resource prioritization
• Play a pivotal role in defining and executing complex supply chain strategies as a key member of the AWS Infrastructure supply chain team
• Manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously, adapting to rapidly changing priorities and ambiguous situations
• Drive process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency and reliability
• Develop and implement strategic supply schedules, clearly communicating priorities and status to internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications
• Proven experience in materials management or supply chain roles, preferably in a tech or cloud infrastructure environment
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred

Our environment is fast-paced and requires someone who delivers results and is comfortable working with tight deadlines, changing priorities, and ambiguity.
