Position Summary

We are seeking a Digital Marketing Data Specialist who will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our new event-driven marketing data layer (EDDL). This position is key to ensuring a seamless data flow across eCommerce, POS, and our Alterra Data Warehouse (Snowflake platform), as well as analytics tools like PowerBI and Tableau. Essential Duties

General Responsibilities

  • Define the EDDL strategy focusing on customer behavior tracking and conversion funnel optimization.
  • Develop a comprehensive project plan with timelines and resource allocation.
  • Design and implement the EDDL to capture and standardize marketing data.
  • Collaborate with technical teams for seamless integration into existing systems.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and CCPA using Adobe Privacy Controls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Data Management

  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across all digital platforms.
  • Develop and enforce data governance policies related to marketing data.

Monitoring & Optimization

  • Lead testing processes to ensure EDDL integration functions as expected.
  • Continuously monitor performance and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Troubleshoot data capture or integration issues with marketing tools.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Collaborate with analytics teams to support dashboard requirements and reports.
  • Translate complex data findings into actionable marketing recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in leading and implementing EDDL from design to production.
  • Deep understanding of Adobe Client Data Layer and EDDL best practices.
  • Proven experience in analytics or marketing technology.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing metrics and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing (Snowflake preferred) and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, especially JavaScript; SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in designing and supporting a new data layer capability; 3-5 years preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or marketing technology.

Compensation

The base salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $108,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This range is just one part of our total compensation package, which may include additional incentives and region-specific benefits.
