Role Overview:

Sodexo at San Francisco State University is #Hiring our Catering Manager 3 to manage high-profile events on campus. Our successful candidate will have demonstrated experience catering for high profile clients, with a solid understanding for culinary innovation. Building trusting and strong client relationships and providing exceptional guest services to meet needs of FOODIES on campus are required for success in the role. Our polished professional leader will have the ability to pivot priorities with a sense of urgency and change gears to meet the varying needs for different personalities on campus.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage and grow our catering services to our clients 
  • Serve very diverse clients with highest quality food, presentation, and service
  • Manage catering for high profile clients, with culinary knowledge and innovation
  • Develop strong client relationships and provide exceptional guest services to meet needs of all of our foodies on campus
  • Pivot with a sense of urgency- change gears, adjust approach with different personalities on campus
  • Identify customer expectations and ensure HAACP standards are followed
  • Ensure that Sodexo and customer goals are aligned and met

  • Demonstrated experience managing catering for high profile clients 
  • Experience with Vegan and Vegetarian catering innovation
  • Professional Catering Menu Development experience
  • The ability to handle catering at all levels from students to executives
  • Solid organizational skills and excellent leadership and team building skills

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
